The founder of CheerBio, Kevin is a French mechanical engineer who has long admired Elon Reeve Musk as his role model. While Musk dreams of leading humanity to colonize Mars, he never addressed an important question: what will we eat once we get there? Determined to find the answer, Kevin founded CheerBio and began developing fully artificial-light plant factories to cultivate vegetables and other crops suitable for extraterrestrial environments.

However, for most people, traveling to Mars remains a distant dream. What concerns them more is the life they live here and now. During the pandemic, with transportation networks locked down, even residents of major cities struggled to access fresh vegetables. In some cases, families were spending over 10,000 yuan per month just to buy produce.

If we can’t even ensure access to fresh, healthy vegetables on Earth, what’s the point of dreaming about Mars?
